The project

Our client is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centers in safety-critical environments.

The client specializes in developing and distributing 'Control Centre Solutions' for the Air Traffic Management and Public Safety & Transport sectors.

We are seeking for a Linux & Automation Engineer to become a vital part of our client's team to support the design, implementation, and operation of modern infrastructure and deployment environments. The role focuses on Linux systems, virtualization, containerization, and automation, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable platforms for software delivery.

Type of contract: B2B / Labour Contract

The preferred scale of work: full time

Type of work: 100% remote from Poland

Project methodology: SCRUM

Job requirements

Your tasks

  • Implement and maintain complex Linux-based environments

  • Manage and optimize virtual environments (KVM) and container platforms (Podman)

  • Ensure system security and compliance, including SELinux configuration and troubleshooting

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins

  • Automate operational and deployment tasks using Python and Bash

  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and efficiency

  • Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization


What we expect from you

  • at least 7 years of experience as a Linux & Automation Engineer or similar roles

  • Strong expertise in Linux system administration

  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly KVM

  • Experience with containerization tools (Podman preferred)

  • Solid understanding of Linux security concepts, especially SELinux

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or similar)

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, min. B2 level


Nice to have

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts

  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as:

    • Zabbix

    • OpenSearch

    • Data Prepper

    • Fluent Bit

    •  wazuh

  • Basic database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL
