We are looking for Test Automation engineer for our client - a mission-driven startup dedicated to making energy consumption smarter. Joining us you will be working on building an intelligent system that controls high-energy devices to balance the electrical grid in real-time. By optimizing power distribution, we save users money and create a more sustainable energy ecosystem for the planet.

As our Test Automation Engineer, you won’t just be "checking boxes." You will be the architect of quality for the company ecosystem. You will work within an agile team, collaborating closely with developers to foster a culture where quality is a shared responsibility.

Your tasks:

  • Write automated tests for backend and frontend

  • Choose the best and most accurate tools for the project (use existing or recommend new tools).

  • Work closely with a development team to produce robust test cases and scenarios

  • Providing visibility on test results and system coverage

  • Conduct test automation reviews

  • Analyze test results, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.

Job requirements

What we expect from you:

  • At least 3+ years experience.

  • Practical knowledge of test automation frameworks.

  • Automated end to end test suites implementation, deployment and orchestrating. Test case definition, test coverage planning, risk-based testing, exploratory testing.

  • API testing, web application testing, vulnerability testing, non-functional testing and integration testing in a cloud environment.

  • Aligning testing to agile software development. Aligning test objectives with sprint objectives.

  • Basic knowledge of AWS technologies

  • Strong Testing mindset.

  • Experience in working in Agile environment.

  • Good communication skills (written or verbal).

  • Full professional proficiency in written and oral English.

  • Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services

  • Expert knowledge or familiarity of the following tools:

    • Jira

    • Confluence

    • Docker

    • Cucumber

    • Gherkin Language

    • Zephyr

    • Git / GitHub Actions

    • Playwright, Appium

    • Postman/Insomnia

    • MongoDB, MySQL

    Good to have:

    • Knowledge of electricity flexibility markets, smart charging, smart heating, charge point management systems and electric vehicles

    • Pulsar

    • NATS

    • OCPP

    • Kotlin

    • Python

    • MQTT
