The project

Our client is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centers in safety-critical environments.

The client specializes in developing and distributing 'Control Centre Solutions' for the Air Traffic Management and Public Safety & Transport sectors.

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to become a vital part of our client's team. As the technical owner and developer of the Monitoring Solutions, you will develop, enhance and maintain the solutions. Operating in a safety-critical domain, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the solution.

As a System Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of professionals to actively contribute to the development of the NIS Solutions (Network and IT Solutions), where the team is developing cutting-edge IT Solutions with a strong emphasis on high availability.

We are dedicated to selecting and integrating the best IT products on the market to support products and projects, ensuring their ongoing success.

Type of contract: B2B/Labour Contract

The preferred scale of work: full time

Start date: asap, long-term cooperation
Type of work:
100% remote from Poland

Project methodology: SCRUM, 2 weeks-long sprint

Team: 4 developers, Product Owner, Line Manager, Architect, 2 Testers

Team location: Poland, Romania, Slovakia

Job requirements

Your tasks

· Participate in design and documentation activities

· Build new features, containers, automate deployment

· Provide dashboards, templates, scripts, etc.

· Benchmarking and performance/security improvements

· Prepare user documentation and (video-) trainings

· Provide 3rd level support (bug fixing, troubleshooting)

What we expect from you

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Engineer/Developer with a strong focus on infrastructure monitoring/observability

· Deep hands-on skills with the technologies and tools mentioned above

· Proficient in the scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash

· Debugging and root cause analysis skills

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Scrum Team

· Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, min. B2 level

Nice to have

· Also experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

· Knowledge in networking (switching/routing)
